1. The Israel Professional Internship Program

The Israel Professional Internship Program - designed for those who are considering aliyah - offers valuable unpaid work experience in firms and institutions throughout Israel. The program runs for between two and six months.

Interns work in their professions in a variety of locations - including hospitals, hotels, law firms, hi-tech companies, schools, community centers, TV and radio stations, government offices and in the public sector. Each placement is tailor-made, based on the needs of the employer and the qualifications of the applicant.

Placements are arranged within the framework of the program and interns receive a small monthly-stipend from the Jewish Agency. The rest, such as finding accommodations, making decision and finding a niche in Israeli society is up to the intern. However, guidance and information is always available to participants.

Hebrew is not necessarily required, it depends on the job, but ulpan is offered (and I would add encouraged!). You are eligible if you are Jewish, single, and between 19-35, a student with at least one year of professional studies or a university graduate with or without experience in your profession. (If you didn't do the college thing and are working, I'm sure you are also eligible, just get in touch with them). The program is only open to tourists, sorry new olim.
